Nick Taiber recently unveiled his Grow Iowa! campaign for Iowa House District 59. Since 2010, he has served on Cedar Falls City Council driving reorganization, budget restraint, infrastructure investments and civil liberty issues. Nick is in a unique position to leverage his business, council and civic insights to make Iowa a magnet state for residents, business and quality of life.
On his decision to run for Iowa House, “Iowa has all the assets to be the greatest state in the nation. But we need representatives in Des Moines who lead with bold vision and pull the levers of reform to make Iowa more conducive for business and job creation and resident attraction.”
Nick’s Grow Iowa! campaign details leadership and policy reforms that will make Iowa the next growth state. Nick notes, “I will work tirelessly to introduce vision and develop legislation to bridge ideological differences to elevate all Iowans through constructive dialog and principled policy. I want to be measured by outcomes, not rhetoric. I want to serve Iowans first, not political parties or special interests.”
Nick was recently awarded the Courier’s 20 Under 40 recognition for accomplishments in his professional career and his civic involvement. Nick works for CPM Holdings as business development manager leading acquisition and strategic development activities. In addition to City Council, he also serves on the board of Self-Help International and actively participates in numerous organizations in the Cedar Valley. Nick maintains a healthy balance of career, politics and civic life with family and an active lifestyle pursuits.
